David Bowie-Inspired Makeup

Guitarist Jeff Nolan at Will's Pub.

In 2016, after the death of English singer and songwriter David Bowie, a tribute was held at Orlando’s Will’s Pub.

Musicians and singers performed David Bowie’s music. As for myself, I read the lyrics from “Space Oddity”, “Little Wonder” and “Let’s Dance”.

Inspired by David Bowie’s Ziggy Stardust days, some folks wore makeup. For those that don’t know, as Ziggy Stardust, David Bowie wore makeup back in the 1970s.

At the Will’s Pub tribute, guitarist Jeff Nolan was one of the folks wearing the inspired makeup. Currently, Nolan is a music historian for Hard Rock Café. Also, he was one of the musicians who collaborated with late singer Scott Weiland on Weiland’s solo album 12 Bar Blues. Many people remember Weiland as the lead singer for Stone Temple Pilots.

Jeff’s pic on this blog was first waist up. Years later, I decided to crop around his head.

Then, I decided to use selective color, leaving much of the pic in black and white with some color still remaining.

This photo is in my book Selective Color. Available on Amazon.
