Which State is More Racist? Florida or Texas? Results May Shock Floridians.

Recently, I read the book Everybody Lies by Seth Stephens-Davidowitz. In the book, the author explains how Trump may have won the 2016 Presidential race.  The areas that Google-searched “nigger” the highest were the same areas that voted for Trump.

Now, why would racists vote for Trump? Could it be that Trump has a history of being a racist prick?

Thinking about Everybody Lies inspired me to do my own little research on the word “nigger”.  Right about now, I know some folks are going to bring up rap lyrics. Yet, just like Stephens-Davidowitz mentions, most rap lyrics use the word “nigga” not “nigger”. As further proof, go check out Rap Genius.

During my search, one thing caught my attention. When it came to searching the word “nigger”, my home state Florida ranked higher than Texas.

Next, I searched by Metro areas.  You see the Sherman, Texas and Ada, Oklahoma area at number 4.

The first time you see a Florida city is the Mobile, Alabama and Pensacola, Florida area at 39.

Next, I searched by the city.  Plano, Texas is number one. Yet, checkout the cities that are number 2 and 3. Both are Florida cities.

Many of my Florida peers and I always thought Texas was more racist.  Yet, the Florida results shouldn’t shock me.  Florida voted for Trump. Also, during  Florida’s 2018 Governors race, my home state chose a racist over a black man.

So, dear readers, I ask you. Which state do you think is more racist? Florida or Texas?
