Vulture Tabloids Already Feasting on Prince’s Death

Last night, after gathering a few items at the grocery store, I remembered hearing Prince was on the cover of People magazine.  When I reached the grocery lines, I found the People magazine on display. Yet, I saw something else too.

On display was the latest National Enquirer. On the cover of the tabloid publication?  Not only was there a photo of Prince. Also, National Enquirer was saying AIDS killed Prince..

National Enquirer Saying Prince Died of Aids

How fucking low can you go? As of this writing, no one really knows what killed Prince.  It may take awhile for autopsy results to be revealed. Yet, here’s National Enquirer stating AIDS killed the man.

Still, as this may piss me and other Prince fans off, I know people are going to buy this trash and read it.  If there wasn’t a market for tabloids, you wouldn’t see so many of them displayed in the grocery store line.

About that People mag I bought?  Before I bought it, I wished I had read the cover. It’s advertising The Private World and Shocking Death of a Musical Genius. More tabloid crap promising exclusive information. At least, People isn’t advertising what killed the man…before the fuckin’ autopsy reports are released!

Still, hate them of love them, tabloids are only catering to folks who enjoy this trash.

About Patrick Scott Barnes

Most of Central Florida knows Stone Crazy (Patrick Scott Barnes) as a poet. Yet, he also photographs, DJ and blogs. The rest of the time, he's guzzling booze in a Central Florida bar.
